Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has died.
He was reportedly found dead in his West Village, New York City apartment today. He was 46.
The New York Police Department is investigating, and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer will work to determine the cause of death.
The actor has admitted to struggling with drug addiction, and reportedly checked himself into rehab last May for heroin abuse.
Heroin was reportedly found in the apartment, and a needle still in his arm.
Hoffman won an Oscar for “Capote” in 2005 and has been nominated for three best supporting Oscars.
