Petitions calls for end to Niagara Falls fireworks

First Published:

A new petition is calling on the Niagara Parks Commission to end the traditional fireworks shows over the Falls.

Bradley Pine started the online petition at change.org hoping to get 1500 signatures.

But, in a short time, more than a thousand people have signed expressing their opposition.  Pine claims fireworks damage the environment and create unnecessary noise.

The petition calls for something more environmentally friendly – like a laser show.

This would have been the 27th year for nightly fireworks over Niagara Falls, but the season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
