The only candidate so far running to lead the Ontario PC party is calling on Premier Kathleen Wynne to come clean with the Ornge air ambulance scandal. Health critic Christine Elliott has asked the Liberals to officially release the committee findings.

During the spring election former Tory MPP Frank Klees did make public findings of the Ornge committee he sat on. The 155-page report suggested the Liberal government ignored many red flags concerning the direction of the air ambulance service. Now Elliott wants the full report released in the legislature.

“Today I’m calling on the premier and the minister of health to please release this report. The people of Ontario deserve answers.”

“It’s time for the truth, time for us to move forward, and repair the damage the Liberals have done to our air ambulance service. It’s time for the premier to to match her words with action, be transparent and release the report.”

The finding released by Klees alleged that four pilots who died in a 2013 crash – including Chris Snowball from Burlington – soon after take-off in Moosonee lacked proper training.

The legislature is adjourned until October 20th.
