Parliament resumes today, Canada’s most vulnerable a priority

The Liberals fall priority will be helping Canada’s most vulnerable as the House of Commons resumes sitting today.

All political parties are indicating that the cost-of-living crisis is their top priority.

The Liberals are planning to introduce legislation to temporarily enhance the GST rebate for low-income Canadians.

They also plan to create a stopgap dental benefit for young children until a full national dental program can be developed.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be absent from the House of Commons for the resumption of Parliament today as he attends the start of the leader-level debates at the UN General Assembly.
