Police have seized over $500,000 worth of illegal drugs following an investigation into a suspected drug dealer in Brantford.
The three month long investigation called “Project React” ended on Monday when officers arrested the suspect in the area of St. George St. and Tollgate Rd.
Michael Sayles, 27, of Paris faces five separate charges related to the possession of substances for the purpose of trafficking.
Police found 2039 grams of suspected cocaine in Sayles’ possession when he was arrested, an estimated street value of $203,960.
Search warrants were carried out at three locations, including Scenic Ridge Gate in Paris, a property in Bancroft, and a business in Brantford.
Police seized the following:
- Approximately 722 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $72,270
- Approximately 496 grams of suspected fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $99,300
- Approximately 938 grams of suspected methamphetamine, with a maximum street value of $122,044
- 694 suspected hydromorphone pills, with an estimated street value of $6940
- 240 suspected oxycodone pills, with an estimated street value of $1200
The total estimated street value of all the illicit drugs seized is $511,496.
