Norfolk County OPP are asking for help identifying a “suspicious person” after an incident in Waterford.

Police say an 11-year-old was walking on Jong St., near Lam Blvd., around 3:30 p.m. Friday when they noticed someone following them.

When the child crossed the street, the person followed.

This happened a second time.

Police say the child was scared and ran away. The person did not follow.

According to police, the person had been in a newer white coloured SUV.

It was parked on Jong St. at the dead end.

The person is said to be between 20 and 30 years old and was wearing dark clothing, a baseball cap and blue surgical mask.
