Ontario reports 554 new COVID-19 cases, four new deaths

Ontario is reporting 554 new cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths.

Numbers reported Tuesday mark a 20 per cent drop from the record high 700 new cases reported in the province on Monday.

Toronto, Ottawa and Peel continue to lead the province in new cases.

Another 64 new cases of the virus have been reported in schools, including 37 cases in students.

Hospitalizations across the province sit at 137, up from 128. Of those, 30 people are in ICU and 16 are on ventilators.

Over 38,000 tests were completed.

The province has seen 51,085 cases of COVID-19. Of those, just over 85 per cent have been marked as resolved.

There are 4,791 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 4 active cases

Brant: 0 new cases, 16 active cases

Niagara: 5 new cases, 87 active cases

Halton: 25 new cases, 178 cases

Hamilton: 9 new cases, 102 active cases
