Ontario reported 2,655 cases of COVID-19 and 89 deaths on Wednesday.
The number of resolved cases outpaced new ones with the province marking 3,714 cases as resolved.
Ontario is reporting 2,655 cases of #COVID19 and over 54,300 tests completed. Locally, there are 925 new cases in Toronto, 473 in Peel, 226 in York Region, 179 in Windsor-Essex County and 129 in Niagara.

There were 54,307 tests completed. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were performed, is 4.9 per cent.

The death toll is now 5,568 people with nearly 59 per cent of those deaths reported in residents of long-term care.
There are 1,598 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Ontario, including 395 in ICU. There are 296 patients on ventilators.
There were 13,784 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Ontario on Tuesday.
A total of 237,918 doses have been given as of 8 p.m. Tuesday.
