Ontario reports 1,487 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths

Ontario is reporting 1,487 new cases of COVID-19 and ten deaths.

These results come as the province completed 33,351 tests. There are 16,284 tests under investigation.

 

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 4 new cases, 34 active cases

Brant: 7 new cases, 71 active cases, 1 in hospital

Halton: 69 new cases, 549 active cases, 21 in hospital

Niagara: 21 new cases, 203 active cases, 1 death, 5 in hospital

Hamilton: 24 new cases, 371 active cases, 2 deaths, 11 in hospital

 

 

Another 992 cases have been marked as resolved. Overall, 83 per cent of Ontario’s COVID-19 cases are resolved.

Across the province, there are 500 people hospitalized with COVID-19.

There are 125 patients in intensive care and 70 of those are on ventilators.

Another 106 cases have been reported in Ontario schools.
