Ontario PSW Association issues a statement following TikTok video backlash

The Ontario Personal Support Workers Association has issued a statement condemning any actions that “undermine vulnerable communities.”

The statement comes after major backlash following TikTok videos posted by an Ontario PSW and re-posted by the association.

“The OPSWA does not condone any messaging or actions that in any way downplay the severity of dementia or any vulnerable person,” says the statement.

“It is the duty of personal support workers to support this in their care and continue to work and uplift this community.”
