A 18 year old woman remains in hospital after a crash between a car and a tractor-trailer in Fort Erie last night.

According to Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, police were following the car at the time of the crash because it was speeding. The collision happened just after 11 o’clock at the four-way stop at Stevensville and Netherby.

The woman in the car had to be cut from her vehicle, and was airlifted to Hamilton.

The SIU is investigating and is asking anyone with information to give them a call at 1-800-787-8529, x1806.
