Ontario legislature set to resume sitting Tuesday

First Published:

Ontario’s provincial legislature is set to resume sitting Tuesday.

Legislatures are returning for the last few weeks of session before the provincial election in June.

Pandemic recovery and skyrocketing home prices will be top of mind for Ontario’s party leaders as they head back.

Housing Minister Steve Clark told The Canadian Press that he intends to enact some changes recommended by a recent task force on housing affordability ahead of the election.

Premier Doug Ford’s government also has its annual budget to table before voters head to the polls.

It will likely give an early look at the Progressive Conservatives’ re-election platform.

The spending plan is due before the end of March.
