It’s been one year since the deadly Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, where hundreds died. Loblaw’s Joe Fresh was one of the brands that was manufactured there.

That building collapse last year wasn’t the only one in Bangladesh’s history. But it was the deadliest and gathered a lot of attention around the world — shedding some light on that country’s working conditions. More than 1,100 workers died and about 2,500 were injured when the eight story building collapsed — the worst garment industry accident in recent history.
