Officers investigating “targeted incident” in central Hamilton: police

Police are investigating what they say was a targeted incident in central Hamilton.

Officers were called to the area of Barton St. E and Milton Ave., between Sanford Ave. N and Birch Ave., around midnight Thursday.

They say one person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In a tweet, police say they believe this was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety.

Reports from the scene suggest this was a home invasion and police are looking for three suspects.
