Oakville pandemic poem

First Published:

An Oakville mom wrote a poem to honour her children during the pandemic.

Tiffany Richardson says she wrote “Come on world, we’ve got this!” because she is in awe of the way her kids have handled all the changes to daily life.

“They literally had the rug pulled out from under them,” Richardson says.

“They lost their friends, school, activities, grandparents, cousins, birthday parties, play dates, climbing at the playground. All in one big sweep.”

She had her daughter Shelby voice the poem and a friend put it all together in this video.
