Oakville man faces drug trafficking charges following investigation

Halton police have arrested a man from Oakville in relation to a drug tracking investigation.

In February, Investigators identified a suspect believed to be responsible for selling cocaine and fentanyl in Halton.

In March, officers executed search warrants on a vehicle and residence in Oakville, resulting in the seizure of drugs and arrest of a suspect.

Police seized around $36,000 in cash, a loaded capacity Glock magazine and 100 grams worth of drugs, including cocaine and fentanyl.

Carlton Jackson, 36, of Oakville was arrested and charged with drug trafficking related offences and possession of a prohibited device.

Officers say Jackson was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
