Noxious substance sprayed in St. Catharines MTO building

A man is wanted in connection with an incident at a Ministry of Transportation building in downtown St. Catharines.

Niagara Regional Police say some sort of noxious substance was sprayed inside the building at 301 St. Paul St. around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The incident was reported to police the next day.

Surveillance footage shows the man releasing the substance in the elevator area of the building’s second floor.

According to a news release, victims in the immediate area were affected. It does not say how.

Police have released images of the man, who is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old and about 5’8″.
