Nokia Microsoft deal complete

The sale of Nokia’s handset business to Microsoft is set to be finalized today.

The closure of the $7.5 billion deal, which was agreed last year, had been delayed pending approvals.

Earlier this month both companies won a crucial nod from Chinese regulators. The deal has also received the green light from the U.S. and European Union.

The approvals are needed because of the size of the transaction and the companies’ presence in the different markets.
