First Published:

Niagara Regional Police Service is warning residents in a Niagara Falls neighbourhood they will likely hear and see some police activity over the next few days.

The force is conducting training in the area of Mountain and Taylor roads on Wednesday and Thursday.

Residents will see an increased police presence, hear the sounds of simulated gun shots and smell smoke.

The training will take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Police say there will be signage in the area to warn residents about the exercises.

The public is being asked to stay away from the training sites for their safety and the safety of the officers involved.
