Niagara Regional Police officers have recovered an SUV stolen from a Fort Erie home earlier this year.
Police say the 2014 Chevrolet Traverse SUV was taken on Jan. 12 from a home in the area of Jordyn Dr. and Jasmine Crt.
Officers found the vehicle about a month later just a few kilometers away. They spotted several receipts inside the locked vehicle.
The receipts led detectives to a local business on Garrison Road, where a man was seen operating the stolen vehicle.
28-year-old Charles James Longaphie of no fixed address was arrested on Wednesday.
He’s facing a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and a drug charge.
