Niagara Regional Police need the public to help solve an ATM theft in Welland.

Police say a white four-door pickup truck sped off from the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Niagara St. around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to police, the truck was dragging an ATM behind it, which caused a great deal of sparks.

The vehicle drove west down Woodlawn Rd. making its way through Niagara College and west down Canboro Rd. toward Victoria Ave. in Pelham.

Police need help identifying the suspects and the pick up truck involved, specifically the vehicle license plate.

They say the vehicle has tinted windows and is possibly a Chevy 2500 Diesel.

Anyone with information can contact Det. Const. David Sinclair at david.sinclair@niagarapolice.ca.

You can also leave an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
