Niagara police investigating after man killed in single-vehicle crash in Welland

Niagara police say a man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Welland.

Officers were called to the area of Ridge Rd. and Doan’s Ridge Rd. around 8 a.m. Friday.

Police say the man was driving westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a hydro pole. There was significant damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The 24-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating what happened.
