Niagara police investigate robbery at Fort Erie store

On Sunday, May 22, police were called to a robbery at the Red Apple Bargain Store on Ridgeway Road at Rebstock Road in Fort Erie.

After an investigation, police determined that at around 5:00 p.m. a man entered the store, walked behind the counter in a “threatening manner” and demanded money from the register.

The man then fled the scene on a white bicycle southbound on Ridgeway Rd. No one was injured and no weapon was seen during the robbery.

Police say the man is described as white, approximately 6’2″-6’3″, slender build and wearing dark clothing, including a dark baseball hat and a dark bandana or mask covering his face and a backpack that appeared to be full of items.
