No grounds to charge Niagara officers in fatal New Year’s Eve shooting: SIU

The province’s police watchdog has said there are no grounds to lay charges in a fatal shooting of a man in St. Catharines on New Year’s Eve.

The SIU, the province’s police watchdog, says it found that the officers had reasonable grounds to shoot in self-defense.
