MP refuses to apologize

First Published:

Outspoken NDP MP Pat Martin is refusing to apologize after a string of foul-mouthed tweets caused a stir online.

The Winnipeg Centre MP began posting Wednesday night after the Conservatives closed down debate on the federal budget.

The first expletive-filled tweet calls that a disgrace, while a second post an hour later reads:

“For gods sake… in these uncertain economic times — don’t you think our parliament should be debating our federal budget? Some due diligence?”

A critical tweet on how Martin didn’t capitalize the word “God” prompted an “f-you” in response.

Martin told another critic “eat my shorts”.
