Motorcyclist seriously injured in Burlington crash

A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition after a motorcycle and car collided in Burlington.

It happened around 12:45 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Guelph Line and Harvester Rd.

Witnesses told police a motorcycle entered the intersection on a red light before crashing into the side of a vehicle.

The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. He was transported to a trauma centre where he is now in stable condition.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital with minor injuries but has since been released.

The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in to investigate.

The area was closed for approximately two and a half hours but has reopened.
