Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle collision in Caledonia

A 53-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Caledonia.

It happened just after 8 a.m. Friday on Highway 54 near Mines Rd.

Police say a motorcycle and pickup truck were both travelling westbound when the motorcyclist attempted to pass the truck.

The driver collided into the side of the pickup and was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say her identity is not being released until next of kin has been notified.

Highway 54 is closed between Mines Rd. and Mckinnon Dr. while emergency crews are on scene.
