HAPPENING NOW:
Stoney Creek Community Food Bank serving more in need

Emily Vukovic was at the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank, which serves those in need in the Hamilton-area community. In 2023, the food bank relocated to its current premises in the municipal service building.
The organization is staffed entirely by volunteers and relies on support from community partners to ensure everyone has the necessities they need. Everyone that visits the food bank gets a staple bag. People need to bring a form of identification and a piece that proves you are from Stoney Creek to be able to shop for food not included in the staple bag. When Emily was at the food bank she got to see the layout and what products/how much people can chose from when they visit the food bank, which they are allowed to do once a month.
The Stoney Creek Community Food Bank also has a community garden which helps stock local produce for the 60 or more families who visit daily.
There is more need than ever right now, and every little bit helps. If you are able to donate, or if you are in need of the food bank, visit stoneycreekfoodbank.com.
