Burlington mayor Marianne Meed Ward sat down with Annette to discuss speed cameras, as Premier Ford has denied a request from more than 20 Ontario mayors to “tweak, instead of scrap” speed cameras, as he promises to eliminate speeding through other measures.

She also discussed the future of the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, as organizers are asking for nearly $750,000 asked the city for support. Mayor Meed Ward is asking for anyone to come forward with a proposal for a plan that can be done for the usual $150,000 in funding and still be free for festival goers.
