Creative ways to elevate hotdogs for Canada Day

Oh Cana-dog! To celebrate Canada’s upcoming 158th birthday, we are showing our Canadian spirit by getting creative with a staple of any great backyard BBQ…hotdogs. But this Canada Day, we are elevating classic grilled hotdogs with chef Paul Lillakas.

Soy Maple Crunch Mustard
Hands on time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 2 days
Makes: 2 cups

Ingredients:
1/4 cup brown mustard seeds
1/4 cup yellow mustard seeds
1/4 cup mustard powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup white vinegar
2 tbsp water
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sea salt (maybe add1/8 tsp)

Combine all ingredients in bowl. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 2 days. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
