Update:

The body of 11 year old Finnigan Danne was found Sunday afternoon, shortly after police issued an Amber Alert. Today police say the cause of death is an accidental drowning.

The search for Finnigan Danne started Saturday morning at 10 when he went missing from his home on Trudy Court. Hamilton police were joined by hundreds of neighbours both Saturday and Sunday looking for the 11 year old boy. Neighbours believed it was unlikely Finnigan had gone far, he had a neuromuscular disorder, had limited mobility and walked with a limp. Hamilton police did not issue an Amber Alert until 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

“We believed that he would be in the area and that we should be able to locate him that perhaps he was scared and hiding and that’s the assumption we are going on. After several hour in the investigation we had to consider other possibilities.”

Soon after a woman found his body just 230 meters away from his home and called for help. The water was 2 to 3 feet deep where the little boys body was found.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the family.
