Missing donkey found, woman arrested by Niagara police

First Published:

Niagara police have arrested a woman who allegedly stole a purebred donkey more than a year ago.

Michelle DuMoulin, 55, has been charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police issued a warrant for DuMoulin’s arrest last week.

It’s alleged she stole a four-year-old Mammoth Jackstone donkey named “Royal Major League” from a barn in Grimsby back in August 2018.

DuMoulin is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Niagara police thanked the public for their help in “aiding in the safe return of the donkey.”
