Man sought after woman sexually assaulted in Brantford park

First Published:

Brantford police are hoping the public can help identify a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman earlier this month.

Police were called to Earl Haig Park on Market St. on July 8 after a 20-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted.

Investigators say the woman was not physically injured during the assault.

Police are looking for a bald, white man, who is in his thirties, and was wearing no shirt and dark coloured shorts. He was carrying a blue bag with a green shirt over his shoulder. Police say the man may have left the area in a red, mid-sized car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Mike Aasla at 519-756-7050, ext. 3001.
