Man shot during robbery behind St. Francis Xavier Secondary School in Milton

A man has been shot behind St. Francis Xavier Secondary School in Milton.

Halton police say the 20-year-old went to the school on Bronte St. S around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday to sell wine bottles to someone.

During the meeting, the man was approached by multiple people and was shot with a long-barreled firearm.

He went to hospital and is expected to recover.

Police say this was a targeted incident and was not related to the school or any students.
