Man impersonates NRPS officer

Police in St. Catharines are looking to find a man pretending to be a Niagara regional police officer. On Tuesday night, in the Goodlife Fitness parking lot on Bunting Road a approached a woman and said he was conducting a drug investigation. He presented a fake name and badge number and directed the woman to get out of her car and conducted a pat down search. Afterwards he left on foot and said that uniform officers were on their way.

He’s described as:
-white
-in his early to mid 30’s
-170 pounds and 5′ 6″
-light brown or blonde hair in a brush cut style
-uneven and graying facial hair
-wearing a blue sweater with a white emblem on the left side
-blue jeans

Anyone with information is asked to contact Niagara Regional Police.
