Man dead following shooting in Cambridge plaza

A man is dead following a shooting in Cambridge on Wednesday night.

Police were called to a plaza in the area of Franklin Blvd. and Jamieson Pkwy. around 7:40 p.m.

A man was found suffering from serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he later died.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit, detectives and forensic identification officers are probing the incident.

There will be an increased police presence in the area Thursday as the investigation continues.
