Man arrested after two people threatened with imitation firearm: Hamilton Police

Hamilton Police say a man faces several charges after he threatened two people.

Police say a woman was leaving her workplace in the area of MacNab St. N on Tuesday when she noticed a man walking quickly toward her.

He was pointing what appeared to be a firearm.

The woman got into her vehicle, left the area and called police.

On Thursday a man working in a gated area of Hamilton Habour came across a man he didn’t recognize.

When he asked him to leave the property, the other man removed what looked like a firearm from his waistband.

Police say the worker was assaulted and the other man fled.

Police have confirmed the weapon was an imitation firearm.

24-year-old Joshua Bowslaugh faces several charges including assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
