One person is dead and four others have been rushed to hospital following an early morning crash in Oxford County.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Otterville Fire Services, Oxford County EMS and Ornge Air Ambulance responded to a single-vehicle collision around 7 a.m. Tuesday on Potters Rd.

Police say an SUV was travelling eastbound when it left the roadway, rolled over and came to rest in a field.

“A male occupant suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said OPP in a news release.

His identity is not being released until the next of kin has been notified.

Four other males were transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Potters Rd. is currently closed between Middle Townline Rd. and Summerville Line while emergency crews are on scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
