Canadian bobsledder, Burlington’s own Jesse Lumsden, arrived home from Sochi this afternoon.

Lumsden was involved in a crash in the four-man bobsleigh. He gave CHCH News this description: “When you’re rolling into a corner, it’s not driver error, it’s dumb luck and we had a great run going. The second-fastest run in the heat, we were in the hunt for a medal. So there’s no time to prepare yourself you just get your face thrown into the side of an ice wall for the last three, four corners of the track.”

Lumsden previously played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
