The LPGA spends it’s a second week in Canada, coming straight from Calgary and stopping in Cambridge this week. Many of the players are inspiring a new generation of young golfers.

18-year-old Brooke Henderson from Smith Falls definitely had some fans today.
“When I see little girls or little boys come up to me want a signature or an autograph, saying they’re my favourite, it’s pretty cool.”

The list of pros going for the $1.6 million prize also includes number one ranked Lydia Ko of New Zealand, and Olympian Alena Sharp who’s happy to be back on home turf.

“I feel honoured to be from Hamilton, and I know there’s a lot of people behind me in Rio, last week and it’s nice to be close to Hamilton basically in my own backyard.”

Players tee off for the official tournament rounds tomorrow morning.
