The 12th annual South Coast Jazz Festival is dedicated to showcasing Canadian artists. Along with the legendary Lighthouse – Band, Aug 9 at Sanderson Center, come experience the sounds of Michael Bell as a guest at Sanderson Centre and also
performing Aug 10th at Schofield’s Bistro in Port Dover.
For the past 30 years, Michael has led a diverse and successful life. He is publisher of a number of magazines including “The Wire Megazine” one of Canada’s oldest alternative regional tabloids. In 2003 he launched the KnowAboutNetwork, an online network of independently operated city business and event directories spanning the globe. As a journalist, he has been granted exclusive interviews with the likes of Gene Simmons to Ralph Nader. As a model, he has appeared in campaigns promoting everything from doctors to motorcycles to hot tubs. As an activist, he ran twice as a Federal Green Party Candidate (2008, 2011) in his hometown of Peterborough.
As a family man, he remains married to that same special woman and celebrates the achievements of his two adult daughters.
After a decade-long hiatus, award-winning singer-songwriter Michael Bell returns to the stage performing the jazz classics that garnered him top chart positions. Inspired by the resurgence in popularity of contemporary vocal standards, join Michael Bell at Scholfield’s Bistro in Port Dover.

The Bowie Lives is a musical tribute to the legendary David Bowie, led by Canadian performer Michael Bell. Bell is known for his uncanny ability to emulate Bowie’s vocal style and stage presence, earning acclaim for his dedication to authenticity and detail..
The show celebrates Bowie’s career,
featuring ionic hits like Space Oddity, Heroes, and Let’s Dance.
Michael Bell has been praised for his interpretation of Bowie’s music and his theatrical delivery, making the experience more than just a concert-it’s a vivid recreation of Bowie’s artistic spirit. The tribute band also incorporates Bowie’s flamboyant costumes, intricate arrangements, and multimedia visuals
to capture the essence of his legendary performances.
Michael discovered Bowie as a teen and performed songs with a number of his early bands. By the ‘80s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ‘90s.. Decades passed. After David’s untimely death on January 10 2016, Michael’s calling returned;
his calling to honour the man who helped shape his life.
