Lincoln man, 25, arrested in 2019 sexual assault of woman

A Lincoln man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in Grimsby.

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 21, 2019.

Police say a 29-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Sherwood Park on Hedge Lawn Dr.

On Thursday, officers arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the attack. He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and sexual assault.

Police say they will not be releasing the man’s identity at this time as it may lead to the identification of the victim.

He is currently being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court via video Friday.
