The man convicted in the murder of Billy Mason will take the stand in a Hamilton courtroom on Wednesday.
Jeremy Hall was convicted of second-degree murder in January — his second time standing trial for Mason’s murder.

Sentencing arguments are now underway.
Hall’s lawyers say he has essentially been in solitary confinement for years due to the pandemic. They say his parole eligibility should be shortened in compensation.
Second-degree murder carriers an automatic life sentence but a judge has discretion over parole eligibility.
