Israeli forces take control of Rafah border crossing

United Nations aid officials say the suffering in Gaza is beyond their ability to describe.

The humanitarian crisis is top of mind as Israel confirms that its forces are in quote, “operational control” of the Rafah border with Egypt, and pressing their offensive into the southern city.

It all comes as ceasefire negotiations with Hamas remain precarious.
