A shocking series of events in Port Colborne after a suspected drunk driver smashed into cars and sent one of them through the glass doors of a business as people were shopping. The security footage shows a pick-up truck darting down King street, side swiping a parked car before slamming into a car in the middle of the intersection. The impact sent the blue Honda flying into the front doors of the Bargain Shop.

Police say the rampage started near Elgin street and ended up near Port Colborne city hall. A stretch that measures more than 300 metres. 51-year-old David Taylor of Port Colborne is facing impaired driving charges and 6 counts of failing to stop at the scene of a crash. Witnesses say Taylor started to run away but was followed by an onlooker and eventually arrested.

Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Investigators estimate the damages from the spree at $200 000.
