Ice cream sandwiches recalled due to possible fine metal particles

Two types of ice cream sandwiches are being recalled by the manufacturer over concerns about metal particles in the product.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is overseeing the recall which was initiated by Agropur Cooperative.

The products being recalled are ‘Iceberg’ brand sandwiches in packages of eight and ‘Orignale Augustin’ sandwiches in boxes of 30.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

Consumers should throw out the product or return it to the store where they were purchased.
