Peter Khill is free on bail, the Glanbrook man is facing second degree murder charges for an incident two weeks ago. In that incident, Khill discovered a would be thief who he believed was trying to steal his truck. There was a confrontation that ended when Khill shot and killed the man.

The details of the bail hearing are covered under a publication ban.  As people hear about this story they are lining up on both sides of the issue. On one hand you have a man who will claim to be defending his home when he shot a trespasser, on the other you have those who argue that killing a person over theft is not justified.

We spoke with family members of the man who was shot and killed, Jon Styres. They are furious that the man who killed their loved one is out a free man tonight.
