Heartbreak, scams, travel, financial fraud and endless risk- all in the name of love. This 2014 Hot Docs feature, Love Me, documents the Ukrainian mail-order bride business and the fellows who are willing to risk it all the reap the benefits of finding “the one”. Viewers get a glimpse at Michael, whose first wife left him for another man and second wife died of leukemia, and Travis, a milk farmer with slim pickings. The film captures both men and women who desire love and are willing to go to great lengths to find it.

The Watchlist’s Brigitte Truong catches up with Love Me director, Jonathan Narducci, and two of the film’s subjects, Tanya and John Adams.
