A homeowner helped Hamilton Police make an arrest in a break-and-enter.
Officers were called to a home near Queenston Rd. and Pottruff Rd. N on Wednesday.
Police say the homeowner had left the house earlier.
When he returned, he saw a man leaving the house.
The homeowner followed him to an area motel and contacted police.
The man was soon located at a jewelery store, in the process of selling some of the recently stolen items.
Arresting officers found a large amount of U.S. currency, jewelery and identification not belonging to him.
The next day, officers executed a search warrant in the motel room.
They say they found stolen property from another Hamilton break-in and electronic devices belonging from the Waterloo Regional School Board.
A woman who was in the room was arrested.
Randy Hall, 33, from Brantford faces a slew of charges including break-and-enter, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and identity theft.
Police confirm Hall was previously arrested in Hamilton in December for two other break-ins.
Jecenta Diffy, 34, from Cambridge has been charged with failure to comply with undertaking.
The police investigation remains open as detectives try to return stolen property to its owners.
