History in the making as Gadhafi era comes to bloody end

Celebrations are happening around the world, after the death of deposed Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi.

In the words of prime minister Stephen Harper, “the Libyan people can finally turn the page on 42 years of vicious oppression.” And it’s not only rebels who have been fighting in Libya: Canada has been a part of the NATO-led mission there from the start, and Harper says he’s very proud of the role Canadians played.
